It is a horn that works by utilizing the electrostatic force applied to the electrode plate of a capacitor. In terms of its structure, it forms a capacitor shape due to the positive and negative poles facing each other, so it is also called a capacitive horn. There are two thick and hard materials used as fixed plates, on which sound can be transmitted. The middle plate is made of a thin and lightweight material (such as aluminum film) as a diaphragm. Fix and tighten the diaphragm around it while maintaining a considerable distance from the fixed pole, even on a large diaphragm, so as not to collide with the fixed pole.
There is an existing DC voltage (called bias) between the two electrodes. If an audio voltage output by an amplifier is added between two electrodes, overlapping with the original output voltage, forming an alternating pulsating voltage, this pulsating voltage is generated by the strength change of the attraction between the two electrodes, and the diaphragm vibrates and produces sound as a result.
